Called by press “chanteuse extraordinaire”, Aelita began her professional stage life at 15 in the former USSR and since then has taken center stage around the world.  From the opening ceremony of the Football World Cup in Seoul, South Korea to the White House in Washington, DC, from Paris to Moscow, from Miami to Jerusalem – she has always instantly connected with diverse audiences through the universal language of music. 

The preservation of Yiddish music and culture has always been a lifelong quest for Aelita who credits her parents and upbringing with influencing the person she is today. August 2010 marks a full circle as Aelita returns home to her roots, to her childhood city of Riga, Latvia, in order to commemorate her late father Beno Fitingof, his parents who among 40 relatives were brutally killed in Riga Ghetto. As a special guest of Shamir Jewish Music Festival, Aelita performed songs from her latest CD "Songs My Father Taught Me" as a benefit for the Riga Ghetto museum opening in September of 2010.

Aelita has taken center stage in four different continents, raising seven million dollars for the state of Israel, and has shared the spotlight with other celebrities such as Sara Vaughn, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Barry Manilow, Henry Kissinger, and President Bill Clinton, at the White House. Aelita performs in sixteen different languages, including French, Chinese, Russian and Yiddish.

She remains true to her roots in her new production “Songs from the Heart” taking us on a journey from the turn of the Century, incorporating a fascinating family story spanning three continents through her life experiences from tender age of 3 to the present days.

Aelita with her award winning production “Salute to Israel” appeared at the annual Holocaust Survivors of Southern Florida Congress held at the historic Kutchers Hotel, upstate New York.  This program aided to raise funds for Mogen David Ambulances in Israel of which Aelita is a big supporter.

Here at home, Aelita is gracing with her presence charitable concerts, fundraising Galas bringing her unique talent, charm and elegance to raise money for good causes.  The preservation of Yiddish music is a lifelong quest for Aelita who truly sings from the heart.
